Full Time School Nurse in Hazelwood, MO || Spring 2024 2nd Semester

Are you a Registered Nurse wanting a change of scenery for the rest of the 2023-2024 school year? We have a full-time position with a school district located in a tight-knit community. Job Details:

• Onsite near the Hazelwood, MO area
• Start ASAP
• 35-40 guaranteed service hours per week 
• # students/ages on caseload TBD
• 1 or more school sites (mileage can be reimbursed between school sites)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administering basic medical care and first aid to students as needed.
• Managing and administering medications to students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
• Monitoring and maintaining student health records.
• Assessing and addressing the health needs of students with chronic conditions.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to create and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students with special health needs.
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate care.
• Promoting health and wellness education within the school community.
• Maintaining a clean and organized healthcare office.

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate and dedicated to the well-being of students.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
